Ranchi, April 23 -- The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Thursday declared the Class 10 examination results, with an overall pass percentage of 95.27 per cent.
Officials said a total of 4,24,001 students had registered for the examination, of whom 4,22,109 appeared and 4,02,178 passed.
The pass percentage is higher by about 3.56 per cent compared to last year, indicating an improvement in performance.
Four students jointly secured the first rank with 498 marks each. They include Priyanshu Kumari from Hazaribagh, Shivangi Kumari from Simdega, and Prem Kumar Sahu and Sunny Kumar Verma from Ranchi.
Officials said 2,26,957 students passed in first division, 1,60,673 in second division and 14,548 in third division.
