Ranchi, Nov. 15 -- Chief Minister Hemant Soren said Jharkhand had contributed significantly to the country and now deserved recognition and support to move ahead, as the state marked 25 years of its formation today.

He said Jharkhand would use its natural and human resources to emerge among the leading states in the next quarter century. Recalling the land's ancient identity, he said its people "stand among the earliest humans on earth."The state celebrated its Silver Jubilee with a large ceremony at Morabadi Ground, where a themed exhibition and immersive zone drew strong participation. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent their greetings and congratulated the people of Jharkhand.
