Ranchi/Mahagama, July 28 -- Jharkhand on Tuesday launched its Digital Panchayat initiative with the inauguration of a permanent Aadhaar Enrolment Centre at Sarotiya gram panchayat in Godda district, with plans to set up similar centres in all 4,345 gram panchayats across the state.

Rural Development Minister Dipika Pandey Singh inaugurated the centre and said Aadhaar enrolment and update services would now be made available at the panchayat level, reducing the need for villagers to travel to block or district headquarters.
