Ranchi, Feb. 22 -- Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari has written a strongly worded and emotional letter to President Droupadi Murmu, expressing concern over alleged incidents of violence and disrespect against minorities and religious scholars in various states, including Uttar Pradesh.
In his letter, the minister stated that the Constitution of India guarantees equal rights and protection to all citizens, but recent incidents appearing in public discourse have raised serious concerns about the protection of constitutional values. He particularly questioned the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh and urged the President to take immediate cognisance of the matter.
