Ranchi, Sept. 10 -- The Jharkhand High Court today expressed strong displeasure over the non-compliance of its orders related to the local body elections and issued contempt notices against Chief Secretary Vandana Dadel and former Urban Development Secretary Vinay Choubey.

The court, while hearing a contempt petition filed by outgoing councillor Roshni Khalkho, observed serious lapses on the part of the officials in implementing directions linked to the election process.

Justice Anand Sen's bench made it clear that any negligence in following court orders will not be tolerated.
