Jamshedpur, June 10 -- : Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Wednesday said education should not be viewed merely as a means to secure employment but as a tool for character building, social awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
Addressing the "Pratibha Samman Samaroh-2026" at Baharagora in East Singhbhum district, the Governor congratulated students who excelled in the Class X and XII examinations and described young talent as the greatest asset of any society.
He said rural areas possessed immense talent and stressed the need to provide deserving students with opportunities, guidance and encouragement. Such programmes, he said, not only recognise achievement but also inspire future generations.
