Ranchi, May 1 -- Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Friday launched the self-enumeration process under the first phase of Census 2027 in the state and recorded his details as per the prescribed schedule.
The Governor initiated the process at Lok Bhavan in Ranchi, marking the commencement of the self-enumeration phase in Jharkhand.
Emphasising the importance of data in governance, Gangwar said that reliable statistics are essential for policy formulation and planning. He said the census provides key information related to population, family structure, housing conditions and various socio-economic parameters, which support development-oriented decision making.
