Ranchi, Jan. 15 -- In a major step to tackle malnutrition, the Jharkhand Government's Department of Women, Child Development and Social Security, has adopted a strict stance on the quality of Take Home Ration (THR) distributed through Anganwadi centres.

The department on Thursday issued fresh guidelines along with a detailed revised menu, making it clear that no lapse in quality will be tolerated.

The new directions have been issued in accordance with the National Food Security Act, 2013, and guidelines of the Government of India.
