Ranchi, July 10 -- Jharkhand Rural Development, Rural Works and Panchayati Raj Minister Dipika Pandey Singh on Friday said the state aims to promote bamboo-based industries to generate rural employment, strengthen women-led enterprises and boost sustainable economic growth.
Addressing the Bamboo Ecosystem Conclave 2026 at the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) here, she said coordinated efforts in policy, technology, finance, processing and market access could help Jharkhand emerge as a leading centre for bamboo-based industries.
The minister said the state government would work in mission mode to implement a bamboo-based industrial policy and provide necessary support to strengthen rural livelihoods and promote self-reliance.
