Ranchi, June 12 -- Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee media in-charge Rakesh Sinha on Thursday rejected BJP leader Babulal Marandi's assessment of the Narendra Modi government's 12-year tenure, alleging that the ruling party was attempting to divert attention from issues such as unemployment, inflation and farmers' concerns.

In a statement, Sinha described the BJP's portrayal of the past 12 years as a period of unprecedented achievement as "misleading" and claimed that large sections of the population continued to face economic challenges.

He alleged that promises relating to employment generation and farmers' welfare had not been fully realised and questioned the government's record on inflation, fuel prices and public sector assets. ...
