Ranchi, Aug. 14 -- Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday asked BJP MPs from the state to oppose the mineral Bill and put pressure on the Centre to withdraw it, or resign from their posts and join the people's fight to protect Jharkhand's rights.

Congress media in-charge Rakesh Sinha said the state's mineral resources were closely linked to its identity, economy and the rights of its people, and alleged that the Bill affected the interests of Jharkhand and the rights of states.

Sinha challenged all BJP MPs from Jharkhand to raise their voice against the Bill and said their silence would be treated as consent.
