Ranchi, Feb. 14 -- The rising incidents of human-elephant conflict in Jharkhand drew the attention of Chief Minister Hemant Soren who on Saturday chaired a meeting with officials of the forest, environment and climate change department and reviewed the latest situation.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that at least 27 people have lost their lives in recent months in elephant attacks across Ramgarh, Bokaro, Hazaribag, Chaibasa, Jamshedpur, Lohardaga, Gumla and Dumka.
