Ranchi, June 26 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday announced that it will observe Hul Diwas on June 30 across all its 595 mandals in Jharkhand, besides organising its main programme at Bhognadih in Sahibganj district.

State BJP president Aditya Sahu said party workers would pay floral tributes to Hul rebellion heroes Sidho, Kanho, Chand, Bhairav, Phulo and Jhano at programmes to be organised across the state.

He said a nine-member committee has been constituted to oversee the arrangements for the main event at Bhognadih, the birthplace of the 1855 Santhal Hul uprising.
