Ranchi, July 13 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday alleged that the Jharkhand government had repackaged previously announced investment proposals as fresh commitments while claiming investments worth Rs 99,639 crore.

Addressing a press conference, BJP chief spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo claimed that most of the projects included in the latest investment announcement had already been unveiled following the Chief Minister's visits to Davos and the United Kingdom earlier this year.

He alleged that companies such as Jindal Steel, Jindal Nuclear Power, Rungta Sons, Rungta Mines, Tata Steel, Amalgam Steel & Power, Ambuja Cement and Jindal Renewables figured in both announcements and questioned why the same proposals were being present...
