Ranchi, Aug. 7 -- The JPSC recruitment controversy dominated proceedings in the Jharkhand Assembly on Friday as Opposition members disrupted Question Hour, demanding cancellation of the 14th JPSC preliminary examination and a court-monitored CBI probe, prompting the Speaker to adjourn the House till Monday.

As soon as Question Hour began, Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi raised the issue of the ongoing students' agitation and alleged irregularities in competitive examinations conducted in the state. He demanded cancellation of the 14th JPSC preliminary examination and a court-monitored CBI inquiry into the alleged recruitment irregularities.
