Ranchi, March 11 -- Members of the Jharkhand Rajya Andolankari Sangharsh Morcha on Wednesday staged a protest and gheraoed the Jharkhand Assembly demanding recognition and welfare measures for participants of the statehood movement.

Activists from different parts of the state alleged that the Hemant Soren government was neglecting those who had played a role in the struggle for the creation of Jharkhand.

Founder patron of the organisation Pushkar Mahto said the government should issue a gazette notification recognising Dishom Guru Shibu Soren as a Jharkhand movement activist.
