Ranchi, July 16 -- Two faculty members of the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) have been appointed as members of the Regional Empowered Committees (RECs) constituted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) under the Van (Sanrakshan Evam Samvardhan) Rules, 2023.

Prof. Arvind Chandra Pandey of the Department of Geoinformatics has been nominated to the Eastern Regional Empowered Committee, headquartered in Ranchi, while Dr Chandra Shekhar Dwivedi has been appointed to the Northern Regional Empowered Committee, headquartered in Dehradun.
