Ranchi, Sept. 12 -- Around 30,000 notices related to traffic challans were issued for settlement at the National Lok Adalat in Ranchi on Saturday, drawing a large number of vehicle owners to the special motor vehicle cases bench.
The Ranchi District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) had issued around 50,000 notices for the National Lok Adalat, of which about 30,000 related to traffic challans, DLSA Secretary Rakesh Roshan said.
A large number of people appeared before the special bench to settle their motor vehicle cases. Some said they had received multiple challans, with one person claiming to have 15 and another 28 challans.
