Koderma, Aug. 14 -- Three Kanwariyas from Nepal were killed and several others injured after the bus carrying them collided with a stationary trailer vehicle in Koderma district on Friday, police said.
The accident occurred near Pokhardeeha Mor under Satgawan police station on the Deoghar-Nawada main road when the bus, carrying around 45 Kanwariyas, hit the trailer parked along the roadside.
According to preliminary information, the driver may have dozed off while driving, resulting in the collision. The front portion of the bus was severely damaged and several passengers were trapped inside.
Rescue personnel and local residents helped evacuate the passengers from the damaged bus.
