Ranchi, July 17 -- The Jharkhand government has agreed in principle to organise regular legal metrology (weights and measures) verification camps across the state in coordination with the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) to facilitate traders.
The decision was taken at a meeting convened by the Legal Metrology Wing of the Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department.
FJCCI vice-president Praveen Lohiya suggested that verification camps be organised in coordination with district chambers of commerce to help traders renew and verify weighing and measuring instruments without inconvenience.
