Ranchi, June 26 -- Seven persons were killed and one was critically injured after a coal-laden truck collided with a passenger vehicle near Lari-Barlong under the Rajrappa police station in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district late on Thursday night, police said.
The victims were reportedly members of a band troop returning from a programme.
According to police, the accident occurred on the Ramgarh-Bokaro road (NH-23) when the truck allegedly entered the wrong side while attempting to overtake another vehicle and hit the passenger vehicle head-on.
