Ranchi, July 13 -- Ranchi will host matches of the 135th Durand Cup for the first time from July 26 to August 16, with preparations for the prestigious football tournament gathering pace, officials said on Monday.
Chairing a high-level review meeting, Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Mukesh Kumar directed all departments to ensure foolproof arrangements for the event at Birsa Munda Football Stadium, Morabadi.
He instructed officials to make adequate arrangements for fire safety, stadium branding, accommodation for players and guests, security and invitation management.
