Ranchi, Sept. 12 -- The Jharkhand Health Department on Saturday suspended the licence of a private hospital in Ranchi after its staff allegedly assaulted a patient's relatives on September 10.
The licence of Tulip Hospital on Ring Road was suspended on an interim basis following directions from Health Minister Irfan Ansari to Ranchi Civil Surgeon Amarendra Prasad to investigate the incident and take necessary action.
The suspension was ordered under the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010 and Jharkhand Clinical Establishments Rules, 2013, and will remain in force until completion of the inquiry and further orders.
