Ranchi, July 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday virtually inaugurated the redeveloped Piska and Muri railway stations in Jharkhand under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, along with 75 redeveloped railway stations across the country.

Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar attended the inauguration programme at Piska railway station through video conferencing.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor said the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme was aimed at developing modern, safe, environment-friendly and passenger-centric railway infrastructure.

He said the redeveloped Piska and Muri stations would strengthen connectivity and promote tourism, trade, investment and employment in Jharkhand.
