Ranchi, Sept. 22 -- Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Tuesday interacted with students and research scholars from various countries pursuing higher education and research in India under the ICCR scholarship programme at Lok Bhavan here.
Addressing the students, the Governor highlighted India's ancient knowledge and educational traditions, referring to institutions such as Takshashila, Nalanda and Vikramashila, which attracted learners from different parts of the world.
He said the participation of students from countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Iraq and nations in Africa and the Middle East reflected strong academic and cultural ties between India and their respective countries.
