Ranchi, Sept. 5 -- The court of Additional Judicial Commissioner Yogesh Kumar on Saturday rejected the bail plea of former Jharkhand Public Service Commission chairman and former chief secretary L Khiangte in a case related to alleged irregularities in JPSC examinations.

Khiangte, who is in judicial custody, had sought bail in connection with CID case number 16/2026.

According to an advocate associated with the case, the court rejected the bail plea after hearing arguments from both sides.

The defence argued that there was no concrete evidence against Khiangte and no incriminating material had been recovered during the investigation.
