Ranchi, July 26 -- The Jharkhand Congress on Sunday hit back at Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi over his allegations on the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), claiming that irregularities in the commission had their roots in the Bharatiya Janata Party's tenure.

In a statement, state Congress secretary and spokesperson Rishikesh Singh alleged that several JPSC examinations conducted during the BJP government were marred by allegations of corruption, favouritism and irregularities, leading to prolonged legal proceedings and action against officials.
