Ranchi, July 28 -- The BJP on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), alleging that a Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 review meeting held in Mahagama in Godda district in the presence of Rural Development Minister Dipika Pandey Singh violated the spirit of the Election Commission's independent electoral process.
BJP state vice-president and SIR state convenor Rakesh Prasad said the review meeting was held at the Meherma block office on July 26 in the presence of the minister and attended by administrative officials, including the Sub-Divisional Officer, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Block Development Officer and panchayat secretaries associated with the SIR exercise.
