Ranchi, Sept. 26 -- Banking services in Jharkhand are likely to be affected from Sep 28 to 30 due to a nationwide strike by bank employees.
The three-day strike has been called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), with employees and officers of public sector banks in Jharkhand expected to participate.
Ranchi District Bank Employees Association president Kanak Ranjan Choudhary said the strike could affect business activity worth around Rs 60,000 crore in the state over the three days.
The strike is also likely to affect banking-related closing work on Sep 30, the last day of the first half of the current financial year, the source said.
