Patna, April 8 -- In a significant step towards promoting child welfare, nutrition and social equality, the Bihar government has launched an initiative to provide stitched uniforms to children enrolled at Anganwadi centres through JEEViKA Didis (women associated with self-help groups).
Official sources said on Wednesdat that the initiative aims to ensure that children at Anganwadi Centres receive quality and uniform clothing, fostering a sense of equality among them. At the same time, it is generating large-scale livelihood opportunities for rural women.
