Bengaluru, June 19 -- Amid speculation over cross-voting in the Legislative Council (MLC) elections, JD(S) MLA GT Deve Gowda on Friday strongly rejected allegations against him and challenged his critics to prove wrongdoing.
Speaking to reporters, Gowda said he had exercised his franchise independently.
"I have voted according to my conscience," he said, adding that attempts to link him to cross-voting were politically motivated.
He further hit back at his detractors, saying, "I dare anyone to prove that I have engaged in cross-voting."The remarks come amid growing speculation within political circles that he may have deviated from party lines during the MLC polls.
