Patna, Aug. 13 -- Senior Janata Dal (United) leaders on Thursday rejected calls for a review of the state's prohibition policy, saying that the positive impact of the policy introduced by Nitish Kumar with a particular vision and objective is clearly visible in society.

Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had sparked a debate in Bihar over the prohibition law by calling for a "Gujarat Model" of prohibition.

Responding to Manjhi's remarks, Ashok Choudhary said, "That is his own view. He is part of the alliance and has his own sentiments. The other parties in the government will discuss his views and take whatever decision is appropriate.
