Mumbai, Aug. 26 -- Maratha reservation quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil declined a request by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today to postpone his move to march into Mumbai with Maratha supporters and sit on an indefinite fast on Friday, August 29, at Azad Maidan, during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
Chief Minister's Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Rajendra Sable Patil met Jarange at Antarwali Sarathi village in Jalna district on Tuesday, requesting Jarange-Patil to postpone the Maratha march and share the route which protesters would take to reach Mumbai, but Jarange-Patil did not yield.
