Ranchi, Oct. 23 -- A jawan of Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP)-2 allegedly died by suicide at his residence in the Displaced Colony area of Ranchi today morning.
Police have begun an investigation into the incident. The deceased has been identified as Shiv Pujan Rajwar, a JAP-2 constable originally from Peterwar in Bokaro district.
According to preliminary information, his body was found inside his locked room early in the morning. When the door remained shut for a long time, neighbours looked through the window and found him lying unresponsive. They immediately alerted the police.
Soon after receiving the information, Hatia DSP Pramod Mishra and Dhruva Police Station in-charge reached the spot.
