Jammu, July 17 -- Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking and taking stringent action against assets generated through the narcotics trade, Jammu and Kashmir Police has seized illegally acquired movable properties worth over Rs 38 lakh belonging to a habitual drug peddler under the provisions of Chapter V-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
A police spokesman here said that the seized properties belonged to Sharif Hussain alias Bachu of Alkha Kullah Marh, Domana, District Jammu, at present residing at Nikki Tawi, Javed Nagar, Jammu.
The frozen property included cash amounting to Rs 14,15,350/-, one SUV and a motorcycle.
