Srinagar, March 3 -- J&K Police has registered a case against certain media outlets and individuals for allegedly circulating fabricated and misleading information with an intention to incite unrest and disturb public order.

Kashmir has been witnessing a series of protests since Sunday against the killing of Iran's Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint US-Israeli attack.

In a statement, Srinagar Police said that it has taken serious cognizance of the deliberate circulation of false, fabricated and misleading information by certain news channels, media outlets, and individuals across electronic and social media platforms.
