Srinagar, May 4 -- In a decisive crackdown under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Police on Monday demolished an illegally constructed residential structure belonging to a habitual drug peddler in Srinagar, officials said.
Police said the accused Mohammad Irfan Sheikh alias Iff of Pamposh Colony, Palpora Noorbagh, is a known narcotics offender involved in multiple NDPS cases registered in 2024 and 2021 at Police Station Safakadal and Sangam.
Investigation have revealed that the said structure was raised illegally on land acquired and developed using proceeds generated from narcotics trafficking, police said.
