Jammu, June 19 -- In a major crackdown, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday attached crores of assets of a drug peddler in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official spokesman here said that under the ongoing "Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan", Police has dealt a major blow to the narcotics network by attaching movable and immovable properties worth more than Rs.2.08 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler, namely Narayan Sharma alias Shunna of Thalori, Vijaypur, District Samba.
Acting under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, he said that Police attached properties identified as illegally acquired through proceeds generated from illicit drug trafficking activities.
