Jammu, Aug. 21 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached a vehicle identified as proceeds of crime in connection with a narcotics case in Billawar area of Kathua district.
A police spokesman said that the attached vehicle (car) registered in the name of Shabir Shah of Karandi Kalan, Tehsil Marheen, District Kathua.
At the time of the incident, it was being driven by his brother, namely Bagh Shah (drug peddler), who is booked under PIT-NDPS and presently lodged in District Jail Kishtwar.
The case is registered under relevant sections at Police Station Billawar.
During the course of investigation, it was found that the vehicle was often used in the commission of drug smuggling offences.
