Jammu, Aug. 5 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today announced five-marla plots for families rendered landless due to the floods in Poonch district.
The Chief Minister visited the flood-affected areas of Poonch district to assess the devastation caused by the recent flash floods and cloudbursts, meet the affected families and review the relief and rehabilitation measures undertaken by the district administration.
Announcing a major rehabilitation measure, the Chief Minister said that families who have been rendered landless due to the disaster would be provided five-marla plots for their resettlement.
