Srinagar, June 17 -- : The J&K Legislative Assembly's Committee on Environment, chaired by Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, MLA, will meet on Thursday to review key environmental issues across the union Territory.
Officials said the Committee will examine the environmental impact of the Achan landfill in Srinagar and Bhagwati Nagar dumping site in Jammu, progress on legacy waste remediation, compliance with NGT directions, waste processing facilities and pollution concerns affecting nearby residents.
