Jammu, Aug. 11 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered a case against a revenue official in a corruption case.

As per the official handout, the ACB registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended) at Police Station ACB Doda against accused person namely Mohd Arif Mir, the then Patwari, Patwar Halqa Trigam of Malipeth, district Kishtwar on the basis of complaint.

The official spokesman said that the case was initiated following a verification conducted by the ACB Doda-Kishtwar-Jammu into the allegations that the Patwari, being a public servant, abused his official position by demanding illegal gratification of Rs 5,00,000 from the complainant for issuance of Fard and accepted Rs 3,00,000 th...
