Jammu, Sept. 17 -- Amidst chants of "Jai Mata Di", the suspended pilgrimage to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine today resumed from the Katra base camp in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Suspended on August 26 due to heavy rain, the yatra earlier was scheduled to begin on September 14 but was again postponed.
"Jai Mata Di: Vaishno Devi Yatra shall resume from September 17, 2025 (Wednesday) subject to favourable weather conditions," Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board informed in a post on X last night.
