Bengaluru/New Delhi, April 1 -- Framing the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2026, as a decisive break from the legacy of the licence-permit-quota regime, Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya on Wednesday said the government is moving towards a "trust-based" governance model aimed at unlocking jobs and enterprise.

Participating in the Lok Sabha debate, Surya said the legislation marks a transition "from licence raj to trust raj," with a focus on reducing fear-driven compliance and enabling entrepreneurship, which he said is key to job creation for India's growing workforce.
