Jamui incident deeply distressing, no one involved will be spared: Saraogi

Patna, Sept. 22 -- Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi Tuesday termed the incident in Jamui "deeply distressing and painful" and said those involved in crimes against women would not be spared.

Reacting to the incident, Saraogi said the NDA government's policy on women's safety was clear, with "no laxity and no compromise".

He said the government had made it clear that strict action would be taken against those involved in the crime. The main accused, he said, was in police custody after being injured in an encounter during police action.
