Jamtara, Dec. 25 -- Jamtara witnessed a complete shutdown on Thursday following a daylight robbery at a jewellery shop in which the shop owner was shot and critically injured, triggering widespread anger among traders and residents.
The shutdown was called by the Jamtara Market Vyapar Sangh and the Chamber of Commerce in protest against the incident. Markets across the town remained closed, with traders demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and stricter law enforcement. The bandh received support from the BJP.
