Jammu, April 28 -- Taking tourism and seamless connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir to new heights, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway is set to launch the Vande Bharat Inaugural Special on April 30.
This service marks the extension of the existing Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat service to Jammu Tawi, providing the first direct rail link between the two capital cities of Jammu & Kashmir.
"The modern 20-coach Vande Bharat train will commence its maiden journey from Jammu Tawi, traversing the route up to Srinagar while connecting the challenging geographical terrains of the Valley," Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal.
