Jammu, June 25 -- Jammu Police have launched a massive cordon and search operation and searched the houses of gangsters and drug peddlers ahead of Shri Amarnath Yatra in the bordering Ranbir Singh Pura town here in the city outskirts.
The police spokesman here on Thursday said that as part of its sustained efforts to maintain peace, strengthen security, and prevent anti-social and unlawful activities, the police team conducted a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in various sensitive and identified hotspot locations within the jurisdiction of Police Station R S Pura.
He stated that the operation was conducted jointly by Police Station R.S. Pura and personnel of BSF and CISF Battalions.
