Jammu, Nov. 13 -- The Jammu Zonal unit of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today busted a notorious Inter-State Drug Trafficking Network of poppy straw, said a handout.
It stated that a team of NCB Jammu, with the assistance of Kapurthala Police and NCB Amritsar, conducted a follow-up action leading to the arrest of wanted notorious receiver Lakhwinder Singh of Bhadas, Kapurthala (Punjab) with 12.878 kg of poppy straw from his car.
In earlier action, it read that 221.97 kg was seized on October 2 and two carriers were arrested. The supplier Abdul Hamid Chopan was arrested on November 8.
