Jammu, Oct. 28 -- Reaffirming the BJP's commitment to standing with people in times of distress, Jammu and Kashmir BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma on Wednesday visited Shiv Market near Jammu Railway Station to assess the damage caused by a devastating fire that gutted shops and inflicted massive losses on traders.
Accompanied by MLA Vikram Randhawa, the BJP leaders interacted with affected shopkeepers, assessed the destruction and assured them of all possible assistance.
Expressing concern, Sat Sharma said the fire had wiped out years of hard work, hard-earned savings and livelihoods, leaving several families facing an uncertain future, particularly during the ongoing festive season.
